Welcome to Kittitas School District

MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT RICH STEWART

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community,

As your superintendent I want to start a two way, face-to-face, communication process called Key Communicators.  The purpose of the meeting is to share information about what is going on in our district and get feedback from you regarding, concerns, rumors, questions or other items you want to know about.  The first meeting is October 11, at noon in the district office. Lunch is provided.  Please contact Anita Mata at anita_mata@ksd403.org or 855-380-8844 so we can get your name, phone number and e-mail.  We will meet once a month to discussion various topics.  Thanks for your willingness to share.

Safety is one of our district's top priorities and to help safeguard our school community, we are now using SafeSchools AlertSafeSchools Alert is a tip reporting service that allows students, staff, and parents to submit safety concerns to our administration four different ways:

               1.  Phone:  509-673-7070

               2.  Text: Text your tip to 509-673-7070

               3.  Email: 1533@alert1.us

               4.  Web: http://1533.alert1.us

You and your child can easily report tips on bullying, harassment, drugs, vandalism or any safety issue you are concerned about. Every tip SafeSchools Alert receives about our district is immediately logged in the system and our administration is notified so they can investigate and take appropriate action. And, tips may also be submitted anonymously if you prefer.

Please contact your building administrator, or district office staff, with any questions.

 **2017-18 District Calendar**

The 2017-18 Academic Calendar is now available. Beginning in 2017-18, instead of Early - Release days the district will be implementing a One Hour Late-Start on Mondays with a few exceptions. On the weeks when Monday falls on a Holiday, during parent conferences, and if the Monday falls on an early release day, there will not be a one hour Late-Start.

You will receive a reminder as next year begins. If you have any questions please feel free to contact a district/building administrator.
