COYOTE COLLEGE & CAREER CENTER

Our department assists students in dealing with academic decisions, career plans, personal problems, social skills, and other areas in preparing the student to take her/his place in our society. The Guidance Department is located behind the main office area.

The Coyote College & Career Center is located in the Secondary School Library.  Students have access to available scholarships, college and military information. As well as a number of helpful checklists and worksheets to help make college planning a little easier.

The “news & notes” board is a great place to check for upcoming events, such as College Fairs, as well as summer job and internship postings.

In addition, all students are set up with a Google Classroom for High School & Beyond information during their Junior Year.   Here students will have information about a number of things including; all scholarship postings, links to study sites for test prep, important dates and more.  Mrs. Shelton is available if you have any questions.

During the school year, the counselor has group meetings and individual conferences to address the issues of each year of high school and to help students make good decisions. Mrs. Naambo meets with juniors and seniors regularly to begin the college orientation process. She provides support to all students throughout the year, and has a wealth of information that will help students plan their future. Students should feel free to make appointments with the counselor when they need advice on any problem.
