We’re bursting with Coyote pride as we celebrate Cheryl Uceny, Kittitas Secondary FCCLA Adviser, for being named the 2024–2025 National FCCLA Adviser of the Year! 🇺🇸🏆

Before earning this national title, Mrs. Uceny:
⭐ Completed a 3-year term on the FCCLA National Board of Directors — elected as one of only two advisers nationwide to represent all advisers!
📝 Served as Board Secretary alongside Board President Brenda Osman of Indiana
🏅 Was recognized as a Top 5 Finalist for Adviser of the Year, earning a $1,000 award from the U.S. Army

Then at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, the big moment came — Mrs. Uceny was officially named National Adviser of the Year, receiving an additional $2,000 and a commemorative plaque from the U.S. Army! 💰👏

She was proudly nominated by Trent Misak, Washington FCCLA Executive Director — a true testament to her outstanding leadership, dedication, and impact on students here in Kittitas and across the country. 🌟

The Kittitas County Regional Career & Technical Education Advisory Meeting, held on May 28, 2025, was a celebration of student achievement and innovation in CTE programs. 💼 Autumn Jensen shared highlights from her FCCLA national-bound project titled “The Tooth About Brushing”, part of her Focus on Children initiative. Her powerful presentation and ability to peer-educate on such an essential topic left advisory members highly impressed! 🌟🪥 🌾 Maylee Martin and Lillianna McGuffin proudly represented their FFA chapter, speaking on their chapter’s achievements throughout the year. From local success to standout state performances! Exciting New Tarp for the Long Jump! 🌟 A big thank you to ITC Tarp Company and Andy Arnold for creating and donating a custom tarp to cover the long jump at the high school track!! 🙌 We also appreciate Karie Herbers for donating the chain, which ITC sewed into the edges so the new tarp didn’t end up in Vantage from the spring breeze. Lastly, thank you to the KSD Facilities Crew for tilling the long jump dirt and getting everything ready for the season! We’re all set for an incredible leap into the new season—thanks to all who helped make it happen! 👏 #KittitasCoyotes
