In honor of Veterans Day next week, both 4th grade classes had a very special guest join them for a morning! Students had the opportunity to meet Jeremy Parks, a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served for 30.5 years—and who also happens to be Ms. Parks’ father! Joining the classes via Zoom all the way from Indiana, Mr. Parks shared stories about his time in the Navy, what life is like in retirement, and what Veterans Day means to him personally. Students were inspired as they listened and wrapped up the visit with thoughtful questions about his service and his many duty stations around the world. Kittitas Secondary FCCLA members recently participated in the Region 7 Fall Leadership Meeting. 🌟 The event featured roll call, engaging workshops, recognition of national competitors, networking opportunities, and a raffle in support of Washington FCCLA’s 80th anniversary.
