Dear Kittitas Students, Parents, and Community Members,

As many of you know, Superintendent Lagrange left the district late last year to pursue another opportunity. Rather than rushing through a search process, the Kittitas School Board chose to partner with Northwest Leadership Associates to first appoint an interim superintendent, Mr. Tim Praino, and then lead a broad, comprehensive search for our district’s next leader.

The Superintendent search and selection process is now underway, and this important transition presents a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our schools. The Board is seeking input from staff, students, parents, and community members to help identify district priorities and the qualities most desired in our next Superintendent.

To ensure a transparent and inclusive process, we invite you to participate in two ways:

Community Stakeholder Survey – Please take a few moments to complete our survey by October 24. Your feedback will provide valuable insight into the professional qualifications, personal characteristics, and leadership qualities you believe are most important in our next Superintendent.

Community Focus Group – Join us on Wednesday, October 8, at 5:30 p.m. at Kittitas Secondary School. This one-hour session will give participants the chance to share their thoughts on the district’s strengths, opportunities for growth, and the qualities desired in our next leader.Your input will help shape the candidate profile that guides the recruitment and selection process. The feedback collected will be shared with both the School Board and the search consultants as they work together to identify the best possible candidates.
