Tim Praino is a dedicated educational leader with a strong background in teaching, administration, and human resources. A proud graduate of Eastern Washington University, Tim earned his BA in Education before going on to complete a Master’s in Professional Development from Heritage University and a superintendent certificate from Washington State University.

Tim began his career in the classroom, teaching for 10 years at both the elementary and middle school levels. He then transitioned into administration, serving as a leader at the middle and high school levels before stepping into his current role as Executive Director of Human Resources. In each position, he has focused on creating systems and cultures that help people grow, lead, and thrive.

He has led districtwide efforts in talent management, leadership development, and cultural transformation — always focused on building inclusive, high-performing environments where both staff and students can succeed. Tim is known for his collaborative approach, data-informed decision-making, and commitment to fostering a strong sense of belonging and purpose across school communities.

For Tim, the role of interim superintendent is not just about leadership — it's about partnership. He sees the opportunity to serve Kittitas School District as a chance to work alongside educators, families, and the wider community to ensure every student is supported, empowered, and ready for the future
