Recently on National Constitution Day, students learned about the Constitution, the preamble, and the who, when, where, what, and why of the constitution. 📜 🧐 Students then took their knowledge about the Constitution by trying to save the Constitution from a locked safe in an escape room setting. Students safely saved the Constitution with 3 seconds left on the clock. 🕰️🤔💭👏 #KittitasCoyotes

Young scientists in Ms. Schwab’s class worked together to create and build a tower model that would hold up a tennis ball with limited supplies. Their engineering, creativity, and team work was impressive! 🧑🔬💭🎾🙌 #KittitasCoyotes

Name practice made FUN! 🤩 Mrs. Slyfield’s kindergarteners used stickers, markers, snap cubes, and playdough to practice spelling their names, making learning hands-on and full of creativity! 🔠✍️ #KittitasCoyotes

Mrs. Taylor’s 2nd graders practiced teamwork skills as they tried to save Fred the gummy worm! 🤔💭🪱 Teams needed to get a life preserver (gummy Lifesaver) around Fred and flip over his boat using only 4 paper clips…no touching Fred, the life preserver, or the boat! Happy to report that ALL teams were able to save Fred! 🤩🙌 #KittitasCoyotes

District administrators served up a Back-to-School meal to staff prior to the volleyball games this week. 🤩🙌 Our new Superintendent, Tim Praino, and new Secondary School Principal, Kyle Gillis, cooked some excellent grub with Blackstone grills! 😋 Staff brought some chips, salsa, and desserts to enjoy the celebration. To top it off, JV and Varsity pulled out a pair of wins against Columbia-Burbank! 🏐👏 #KittitasCoyotes

The first day of TK was a great one! Looking forward to many more. 🤩📚🚌🍎 #KittitasCoyotes

The #KittitasCoyotes cheerleaders participated in the Kittitas County Fair parade! 📣🤩🎉

KES staff participated in state funded professional development days over the last two weeks. 📚💭🤔 We dove into our new reading curriculum, writing training, and explored the Leader in Me curriculum. Our focus this year for all of our students, staff, and families will be on setting and achieving Wildly Important Goals (WIGS) with celebrations along the way. 🙌🎉 #KittitasCoyotes
